As the Summer unfolds, May marks the start of the busy travel season. Whether you’re planning a last minute holiday, a gap year adventure, or a long awaited family reunion abroad, it’s crucial to prepare not just your passport but your health too.

Luckily the Rainy season has just passed, time to unwrap your beach towels and sit on the beach!

Recommended Vaccinations:

If you’re travelling to Southeast Asia, consider the following vaccinations:

  • Hepatitis A – spread through contaminated food and water.
  • Typhoid – common in areas with poor sanitation
  • Tetanus, diphtheria & polio –  Often bundled as a booster. Tetanus is caused by bacteria such as soil, dust and animal waste. Diphtheria is a respiratory infection which can be spread through coughing and sneezing. Polio is a viral illness that can cause paralysis and long-term disability.
  • Rabies – Recommended for travellers spending a lot of time outdoors or in contact with animals such as Stray dogs and Monkeys.

Book your travel consultation at least 4-6 weeks before travelling. SOME VACCINES REQUIRE MULTIPLE DOSES OR TAKE TIME TO BECOME EFFECTIVE.
